This is our PREMIUM version of the Tiger Canyon. The difference between premium versions and standard versions is that our premium version uses a 4th generation PCIe NVMe, primarily built for gaming. However, the Tiger Canyon uses either 3rd or 4th generation drives, and the drives offered for the premium version make the NUC more "peppy."
WHY North AMERICA'S NUC 11? The Tiger Canyon (NUC11TNHi7) was scheduled for release in the USA and Canada but was stuck in traffic during the supply chain disruption. It was (and is) intended to be North America's version of the 11th generation NUC. What's different than the Panther Canyon? The processor and integrated graphics are exactly the same. However, the ports (especially for the monitors) on the Tiger Canyon are all neatly balanced on the back. Just a couple of the right cables and you can almost surround yourself with 4 monitors. This NUC also has one Thunderbolt 4 connection with the Panther Canyon having just Thunderbolt 3 ports. The one downside is that the Tiger Canyon does not have a 3.5mm jack or built-in microphones. If you've never had a computer with an NVMe drive get ready to be blown away by 20-25 second startups and 2-3 second shut downs. You’ll be plenty impressed by the Iris Xe Graphics as well. They are the best ever for this size NUC and can be used for mid-level gaming, editing 8K or 4K video, and much more. PLEASE NOTE, we assemble your NUC so that it’s UPGRADE FRIENDLY by installing only one stick (single channel) of RAM in all machines that are 32GB or less. That way, if you choose to upgrade to 64GB later you don’t have to figure out what to do with the RAM in the machine and, more importantly, don’t need to buy two more modules. However, we know there are some who prefer the ever so slightly faster dual channel setup. Just send us a message through Amazon, right away, and we will gladly accommodate you.
Note: Insurance and signature confirmation are required because we hate to think of a NUC costing over $1000.00 sitting on someone's front porch. However, if you ask for a discount code (either through email, chat, or on the phone) your discount will cover this cost.
